William Peter Overman, 63, of New York City died Monday, Sept. 22, 1997, in Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

Bill was born and raised in Duluth, graduating from Duluth East High School. He then graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business. For the past 23 years, he was a partner in Neuberger and Berman firm in New York.

He was the son of the late Jeanne and Ben Overman of Duluth.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Leavy Overman; a daughter, Jennifer Overman; sons Jonathan and David Blinken; three grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Sher of Florida; a niece, Barbara; and a nephew, James.

Burial in East Hampton, N.Y.
